Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly accomplished and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform & Infrastructure team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the core services, frameworks, and infrastructure that power Nexus Global Tech’s flagship products. You will tackle complex technical challenges related to scalability, performance, security, and developer experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance core platform services and APIs that serve as the foundation for our product suite.
• Drive technical design and implementation of critical infrastructure components, including service mesh, observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), deployment systems, and cloud resource management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, security, and application teams to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, testing methodologies, operational excellence, and system reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
• Perform comprehensive code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and architectural patterns.
• Identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and reliability issues across our distributed systems, leveraging profiling and debugging tools.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical growth within the team.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to continuously improve our platform’s capabilities, efficiency, and developer experience.
• Contribute to the on-call rotation for critical infrastructure services, ensuring rapid response and resolution of production incidents.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems, distributed computing, or infrastructure engineering.
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C++. Go experience is highly preferred.
• Profound understanding of distributed systems concepts, including concurrency, fault tolerance, consistency models, and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including familiarity with their compute, storage, and networking services.
• Demonstrated proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant systems in a production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with observability tools and platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, ELK stack).
• Contributions to open-source projects, a strong technical blog, or conference presentations.
• Experience with gRPC, Kafka, Envoy, Istio, or other relevant distributed system technologies.
• A track record of leading technical initiatives or projects from conception to deployment.
