What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and performant backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Architect: Contribute to the architecture and technical design of new and existing platform components, ensuring alignment with overall system strategy and best practices.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with product managers, other engineering teams, and DevOps to define requirements, deliver solutions, and integrate new features seamlessly.
• Monitor: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of platform services.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to the team’s technical growth and development while championing best practices.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong focus on backend systems, distributed services, and platform engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable APIs and microservices, alongside experience with asynchronous programming, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or Node.js), deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, experience with specific technologies such as Apache Kafka, gRPC, or Elasticsearch, prior experience working on large-scale data platforms or real-time streaming systems, familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects, or experience working in a regulated industry or with security-sensitive applications.
