About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Development team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the core services and infrastructure that power our flagship products. You will tackle complex technical challenges, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the future of our scalable, high-performance platform. Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and secure microservices and APIs using modern software engineering practices.
• Full-Stack Development: Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment, with a primary focus on backend systems.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices in coding, testing, and system design.
• Performance & Optimization: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, ensuring the platform can handle increasing load and complexity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality features.
• Innovation: Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve our development process and platform capabilities.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving system observability, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend systems and platform development.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Programming Languages: Proficient in at least one modern backend language such as Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Distributed Systems: Solid understanding and experience with designing and building distributed systems, microservices architectures, and RESTful APIs.
• Databases: Expertise with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
