What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex, highly scalable cloud services and features, ensuring reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Development: Write high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code in languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C#, following modern software development practices.
• Cloud Expertise: Optimize solutions by leveraging a deep understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP services and ensuring cost-effective cloud operations.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement proactive monitoring to maintain platform health.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Focus on building and operating large-scale, cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development with extensive hands-on experience across one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or C#; solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems principles; proficient with Docker and Kubernetes; experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Bonus: Master’s degree; experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform; familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven design patterns; experience with messaging queues and stream processing technologies.
