What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design and develop robust, scalable, and highly available services and APIs using cloud-native technologies and best practices.
• Architecture: Lead the architectural evolution of cloud platforms, identifying areas for improvement, introducing new technologies, and advocating for system-wide enhancements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver high-quality software.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Operations: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure, participating in on-call rotations as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. This role focuses on senior-level software development with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud-native application development and distributed systems. Proven hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including services like EC2/VMs, S3/Blob Storage, RDS/Cloud SQL, Lambda/Functions, and Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/GKE.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C#). Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS), and event-driven patterns. Experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra). Demonstrated ability to design and build scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure systems.
• Bonus: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Knowledge of observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing) with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Datadog. Experience with serverless architectures, strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
