About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Cloud Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy and execution. You will work within a dynamic and agile team to build robust, secure, and efficient cloud services that support our entire product suite. This includes everything from designing resilient infrastructure-as-code deployments to developing scalable APIs and microservices, ensuring our platform can effortlessly scale to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Develop: Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant cloud services and APIs using modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java) and frameworks.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, provision, and manage core cloud infrastructure components (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless functions) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Performance & Scalability Optimization: Continuously identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize existing systems for reliability, efficiency, and scalability, and implement robust solutions for high availability.
• DevOps & SRE Practices: Champion and contribute to best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, comprehensive monitoring, logging, and incident response, ensuring operational excellence and a delightful developer experience.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and actively contribute to technical discussions and architectural decision-making processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and other engineering teams to meticulously define requirements, design innovative solutions, and deliver high-quality software releases on schedule.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and advocate for robust security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring data protection, privacy, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive professional software development experience, with a significant and demonstrable focus on cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C#.
• Cloud Platforms Expertise: In-depth, practical experience with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including their core services (e.g., EC2/Compute Engine, S3/Cloud Storage, Lambda/Cloud Functions, RDS/Cloud SQL, VPC/VNet).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Database Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• System Design Acumen: Proven ability to design, build, and maintain complex, distributed, and highly available systems.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with messaging queues and event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS).
• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) or robust API Gateway solutions.
• Demonstrated contributions to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth company environment.
• Professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
