What You’ll Actually Do
• System Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and resilient microservices and APIs within a cloud-native environment.
• Architectural Contribution: Actively participate in architectural discussions, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to the strategic roadmap of the cloud platform.
• Code Quality & Standards: Champion code quality, perform rigorous code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to security, reliability, and performance best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code, implement comprehensive monitoring solutions, and diagnose complex technical issues across distributed systems.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. A significant focus on backend systems and cloud platforms is essential.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with extensive experience in one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is required.
• Skills: Deep proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or C#. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design principles (RESTful, gRPC). Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures, message queueing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
