Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our core cloud platform team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the critical infrastructure and services that underpin our entire suite of products. You will tackle challenging technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and help define the roadmap for our next-generation platform. This position requires a strong background in distributed systems, cloud computing, and a passion for building robust, high-performance software.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and services for our cloud platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in a modern programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python).
• Participate actively in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product management, UX/UI, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to our platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C++.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including experience with IaaS and PaaS services.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
• Solid experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Demonstrated experience with message queues and stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of observability tools and practices (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Familiarity with serverless computing paradigms (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Prior experience contributing to open-source projects or significant personal projects.
• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
