What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design and develop robust, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure components and services, utilizing languages like Go, Python, or Java.
• Architect: Architect and implement comprehensive solutions for distributed systems, including container orchestration, serverless computing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure requirements and deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
• Optimize: Optimize the performance and cost efficiency of existing infrastructure, while ensuring high reliability and operational excellence.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and actively contribute to evolving best practices within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. This role requires a senior professional with a significant focus on cloud infrastructure, backend systems, or distributed systems development.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Demonstrated strong experience with major public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including knowledge of their core compute, storage, networking, and database services. Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or Java. Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture, and API design. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), along with familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, complemented by strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), open-source contributions, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
