The Senior Software Engineer will also contribute to technical leadership, mentorship, and driving best practices within the engineering team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure backend microservices using specified languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and implement solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability for high-traffic systems through profiling and troubleshooting.
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, efficient querying, and schema evolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Requires a strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architectures.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
• Skills: Expertise in at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, or Node.js), proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL database systems, familiarity with distributed systems concepts, message queues, and caching mechanisms, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Experience with data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka or Flink, familiarity with integrating machine learning inference services, contributions to open-source projects, or previous experience in a tech lead or senior mentorship role.
