What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Develop: Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable, reliable, and performant backend services and APIs.
• System Architecture: Lead technical design discussions and contribute to the architectural roadmap for backend systems.
• Quality Assurance: Champion best practices in software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/delivery.
• System Optimization: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues across distributed systems, databases, and microservices.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with 5+ years of experience in backend software development, including a strong portfolio of shipped projects.
• Experience: Proven experience designing and building scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js); deep understanding and hands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis); experience working with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure); strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Bonus: Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes; familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures; experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Jaeger); prior experience in specific industries such as FinTech, SaaS, or AI/ML.
