What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Development: Lead the comprehensive design, development, and implementation of complex software features and services throughout the company’s platform.
• Ensure Quality: Consistently write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly testable code within an agile development environment. Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and upholding coding standards.
• Drive Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and fellow engineers to accurately define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-impact technical solutions.
• Maintain and Improve: Troubleshoot and debug production issues effectively, implementing robust solutions and preventative measures to enhance system stability.
• Mentor and Architect: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering continuous learning. Contribute significantly to architectural discussions and decisions that influence the future direction of the technology stack.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. Candidates must possess a strong fundamental understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core software design principles.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience is essential, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of shipped products or significant contributions. This includes practical experience with major cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript) is crucial. Candidates should have familiarity with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) database technologies, alongside experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems like Git. Excellent problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills for team collaboration are also required.
• Bonus: Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems, knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) for full-stack roles, and experience with performance optimization and scalability challenges. Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile are also preferred.
