Senior Right of Way Agent Job Description:

CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Right of Way Agent to join their Surveying & Right of Way Reginal Support Team in New Braunfels, TX. This role involves various responsibilities within the right-of-way field, including:

• Title research: Utilizing both internal and external resources to determine land ownership and rights.
• Land acquisitions: Negotiating both non-monetary and monetary terms and conditions for easements, deeds, permits, access agreements, and licenses.
• Document preparation: Drafts legal documents related to fee and easement acquisitions.
• Negotiations: Interfacing with the public, governmental entities, and internal/external clients regarding land-related topics.
• Resolving land and easement issues: Collaborating with various stakeholders to address problems.

This position acts independently and in conjunction with company Subject Matter Experts and legal counsel.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related technical field (land surveying, civil engineering, right of way).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in land-related activities, with a strong understanding of land transactions, legal documents, surveying, and GIS.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Real Estate License and/or International Right of Way Association RWP certification.
• Knowledge of legislative requirements regarding regulatory compliance with real property issues.
