Senior Product Manager | Microsoft

What You’ll Actually Do
• Ownership: Own a customer problem area within WPD, from problem definition and PRD/roadmap to execution with engineering and launch/landing with customers and the field.
• Roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap for seamless developer experiences on Windows.
• Feature Translation: Translate customer needs into platform features and guidance, partnering across product groups and stakeholders.
• Strategic Influence: Influence technical architecture and long-term platform strategy in collaboration with engineering and applied science.
• Partnership Development: Drive strategic partnerships to align shared goals, unlock new scenarios, and amplify impact.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, or equivalent experience, with familiarity with Windows subsystems and app development.
• Experience: 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, including influencing technical architecture, aligning cross-functional teams on complex systems, and designing developer-facing APIs and extensibility models.
• Skills: Executive communication skills to connect product investments to customer needs and business outcomes, ability to balance big-picture vision with day-to-day execution, and exceptional skills in influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders.
• Bonus: 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market; 4+ years experience improving product metrics; and 4+ years experience disrupting a market.
