About the Role: Senior Product Manager, AI/ML Platform

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of our foundational AI/ML Platform. This critical role will be at the intersection of strategy, technology, and user experience, defining the roadmap for the core services, tools, and infrastructure that power all of InnovateTech’s AI-driven products. You will empower data scientists, ML engineers, and developers across the organization to build, train, deploy, and monitor sophisticated AI models with unprecedented speed and reliability. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Define & Evangelize Product Strategy:
  • Develop and champion a compelling product vision and strategy for the AI/ML Platform, aligning it with company-wide objectives and market needs.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities, pain points, and emerging trends in the AI/ML platform space.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling value propositions for various internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Drive Product Roadmap & Execution:
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for core platform components, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment, maintaining a dynamic and transparent roadmap.
  • Craft detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, collaborating closely with engineering, UX/UI, and data science teams.
• Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as the central nexus between engineering, data science, research, design, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership, providing updates on product performance, strategic direction, and critical decisions.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements, resolve blockers, and build consensus across diverse teams.
• Champion User Experience & Adoption:
  • Understand the needs of our internal data scientists, ML engineers, and application developers as your primary customers.
  • Ensure the platform offers intuitive interfaces, robust APIs, and comprehensive documentation to maximize usability and accelerate model development.
  • Develop and execute strategies for internal platform adoption, including training, support, and feedback loops.
• Measure & Optimize:
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the platform’s health, usage, and impact.
  • Utilize data analytics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous product optimization.

What You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on AI/ML platforms, MLOps, data science tooling, or related enterprise developer platforms.
• Technical Acumen:
  • Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
  • Familiarity with common ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers and data scientists, understanding architectural tradeoffs and technical complexities.
• Product Leadership:
  • Demonstrated ability to define, launch, and iterate on complex technical products that have achieved significant business impact.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Productboard).
  • Proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience with building or integrating with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow).
• Prior experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or software engineer working on ML infrastructure.
• Experience in a rapidly scaling startup or high-growth technology company.
• Published articles, patents, or public speaking engagements related to AI/ML or product management.
• MBA is a plus.
