The Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and requirements for key areas of our analytics platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to translate market needs and business goals into compelling product features and experiences. This role demands a strong blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, user empathy, and leadership, with a focus on delivering measurable business impact and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for your assigned product areas, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Market & Customer Research: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify unmet needs, pain points, and emerging trends.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic impact, technical feasibility, and business value.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate high-level strategic objectives into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, data science, sales, marketing, and customer success teams throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with marketing and sales to develop compelling go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and sales enablement materials.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for your products, using data and user feedback to inform iterative improvements and future development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively communicate product plans, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders, building consensus and alignment.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product managers and contribute to the overall growth and best practices of the product team.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably within a SaaS, B2B, or analytics-focused company.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, or AI technologies.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams and understand technical trade-offs. Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies that drive significant business impact.
  • User Empathy: Demonstrated ability to understand user needs, conduct user research, and translate insights into compelling product experiences.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a technical field.
  • Specific Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data visualization tools, or specific ML frameworks.
  • Start-up Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Public Speaking: Experience presenting product roadmaps or features at industry conferences or client events.
