Job Description

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Senior Operations Management Trainee (Senior OMT). This role involves participating in an advanced leadership development program with extensive travel (up to 95% of the time) to various plasma centers across the country. The program aims to prepare individuals for accelerated career growth, specifically towards a Plasma Center Operations Manager role. After completing the program, the successful candidate will relocate to one of BioLife’s locations to assume the Plasma Center Operations Manager position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuous Learning & Development: Participate in an expedited six-month training program followed by 12 months to secure a Plasma Center Manager position. Gain hands-on experience and mentorship. Develop a learning plan covering all aspects of managing high-volume blood plasma collection facilities.
• Team Management: Cultivate a positive work environment, motivate a diverse team, provide employee feedback, conduct performance reviews, support team development, participate in staff planning and recruiting, and engage/retain employees.
• Career Advancement: Work toward obtaining a Plasma Center Operations Manager position through training, networking, and building relationships. Potential to open and operate new plasma centers.
• Supportive Teamwork: Provide operational support, conduct management training, problem-solve, and communicate with senior management in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional Customer Service: Retain donors by creating a positive experience. Assist with production as needed.
• Travel Opportunities: Learn from and network with BioLife team members across the country, returning home every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:

• Relocation is required upon graduation/completion of the Trainee Program; you will be able to choose which location you would like to apply to.
• 3-5 years of experience leading medium to large teams (20+ direct reports).
• Up to 90-100% travel during the Trainee Program.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to travel and work at various BioLife locations across the country.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Have a valid driver’s license for the entire duration of the program.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift (up to 32 lbs regularly, 50 lbs rarely).
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience working with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, and the FDA.
• Experience working in a highly regulated or high-volume retail environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, technical, and leadership skills.
