Senior Operations Manager | Metropolis Technologies
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Metropolis Technologies, located in Sacramento, CA. SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company creating checkout-free parking experiences using computer vision for the real world. • Mission: This person is responsible for leading an effective operation by ensuring all employees perform their job functions to SP+ standards of operational excellence, delivering premier customer service, and maximizing profitability.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Documents, Google Spreadsheets, internal computer programs
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Leadership: Manage the overall operation through effective leadership, developing strong client relationships, and ensuring superior customer service.
• Team Management: Identify proper staffing levels, hire, develop, and train employees including attendants, cashiers, bookkeepers, and maintenance personnel, supervising their performance to the highest standards.
• Financial Oversight: Ensure proper parking, security, and cash control procedures are followed, prepare daily bank deposits, manage the operation’s budget, and perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, payroll, and petty cash.
• Client Relationship Management: Maintain proactive communication with clients, diplomatically resolve their requests and concerns, and monitor facility maintenance for cleanliness and aesthetic improvements.
• Revenue and Risk Management: Assist in maximizing revenues through rate studies and marketing plans, while also monitoring damage claims and implementing safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA laws.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; strong customer service focus.
• Experience: Prior experience leading, managing, and motivating team members.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and work independently; ability to react and problem solve quickly; ability to understand and communicate company policies and procedures; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Documents or Spreadsheets; ability to learn internal computer programs; Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Bonus: Prior experience developing budgets and P&L review a plus; parking management experience preferred.
