Sr Life Underwriting Business Systems Analyst | Transamerica

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support life underwriting transformation initiatives focused on modernization, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with underwriting project teams and related stakeholders to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with IT on project goals and deliverables.
• Facilitate: Facilitate the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and system requirements, translating underwriting business needs into clear requirements for technical teams.
• Analyze: Analyze business unit requests, understand business requirements, and work with technical staff to determine possible solutions and communicate business and system impacts.
• Coordinate: Coordinate business readiness activities, assisting with training, knowledge transfer, stakeholder communications, and training materials as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area discipline, focused on business systems analysis.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in business systems analysis. Preferred 2-4 years of industry experience. Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.
• Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders. Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and operational workflows. Two or more years of underwriting experience within Transamerica or two or more years of experience supporting an enhanced underwriting project.
