Senior Director, Pharmacy Financial, Actuarial and Analytics Consulting | WTW

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at WTW, one of the world’s leading HR consulting firms. The company is committed to contributing to the evolution of pharmacy and broader health care delivery across North America. In this role, you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, financing, and ongoing management of pharmacy benefit programs. You will serve as a key voice to the marketplace, utilizing your imagination and creativity to analyze data, draw conclusions, and present results, ultimately addressing unique client needs in the pharmacy space and evolving the practice.

• Team: Works within the Financial and Analytics (FAA) team and closely with the Pharmacy Consulting Practice within Health and Benefits.
• Mission: Help a diverse group of clients navigate the pharmacy landscape, finding their best path in a rapidly changing environment through analyzing the financial impacts of different options.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Partner with consultants and team members to meticulously review and perform financial analyses, including detailed cost savings and data analysis projections, and develop, review, and update pricing and other analytical models.
• Client Deliverables: Develop comprehensive client analyses and other related documents for WTW clients and prospects, including impactful presentations and thorough reviews of pharmacy contracts.
• Vendor Management: Analyze, compare, and strategically negotiate vendor products, services, contracts, and pricing guarantees to secure optimal outcomes for clients, and design, distribute, and evaluate responses to RFPs, renewals, and market checks.
• Project Leadership: Serve as lead project manager, materially contributing to project plan creation and leading the team on delivery, ensuring consistent progress against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
• Strategy Presentation: Present and clearly explain complex pharmacy benefit financial strategies, such as intricate PBM pricing models, adjudication and reconciliation logic, and financial guarantee exclusion strategies, as well as their impacts to financial results, to internal partners and clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with significant quantitative coursework, for a Senior Director level role.
• Experience: 10+ years’ experience and success in the design or management of large group pharmacy benefit plans gained in a consulting, brokerage, pharmacy benefit manager, or carrier environment.
• Skills: Strong financial skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills; well organized and detail oriented.
• Bonus: Prior experience in pharmacy pricing, underwriting, or valuation work preferred; interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of the latest developments in pharmacy and broader health and benefits plan strategy; State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
