Senior Director, Talent Acquisition | Samsung

The Tone:
This is a full-time role within Samsung’s U.S. operations. This role is pivotal in shaping the organization’s talent strategy, ensuring Samsung attracts, engages, and retains top talent to support its business objectives and continued growth. The Senior Director will lead the strategic vision for talent acquisition and manage the recruitment functions for all levels of hiring.

• Mission: Design and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent, aligning with business objectives and driving recruitment excellence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Design: Design and manage the talent acquisition strategy in alignment with business objectives and initiatives, analyzing labor market trends and developing proactive sourcing strategies.
• Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing talent acquisition team, identifying learning opportunities to ensure industry best practices are upheld and setting and monitoring key performance indicators for recruitment activities.
• Operations Oversight: Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring consistent and inclusive hiring practices across all departments and leveraging technology like applicant tracking systems and data analytics for efficiency.
• Employer Branding: Collaborate with marketing and HR teams to build a strong employer brand, create and promote an authentic employee value proposition, and represent the talent brand in the market through various channels.
• Budget Management: Manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and return on investment across all facets of the talent acquisition strategy and recruitment operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with a focus on talent acquisition strategy and management.
• Experience: 15+ years managing recruitment teams, demonstrating proven ability to proactively source and identify talent across geographically dispersed settings and assess talent for high-performing teams in growing organizations.
• Skills: Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes; strong business acumen to translate company goals into actionable talent acquisition plans; and experience building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives, hiring managers, and external partners.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Workday (ATS/Recruitment Module) and an action-oriented personality comfortable working at both strategic and tactical levels.
