About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic and growing Data & AI team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage advanced analytical techniques and machine learning to uncover deep insights, build predictive models, and drive data-informed strategic decisions that directly impact our products and business success. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable intelligence and tangible value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End ML Projects: Design, develop, and deploy production-grade machine learning models, from initial hypothesis formulation and data exploration to model validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Partner with business units to understand their challenges, translate them into data science problems, and develop innovative solutions using quantitative methods.
• Data Exploration & Analysis: Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and root causes, generating actionable insights for product enhancements and business optimization.
• Algorithm Development: Research, implement, and evaluate a wide range of statistical models and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time-series, deep learning, NLP).
• Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of new features, products, or strategies, providing clear recommendations.
• Communication & Storytelling: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings, model performance, and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through compelling visualizations and presentations.
• Mentorship & Best Practices: Mentor junior data scientists, contribute to the team’s knowledge base, and advocate for best practices in data science methodology, tooling, and MLOps.
• Stay Current: Continuously research and evaluate new data science technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to keep our capabilities at the forefront.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar advanced analytical role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data science solutions.
• Expertise in Python: Strong proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch).
• SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from various database systems.
• Statistical & ML Foundations: Deep understanding of statistical modeling, experimental design, and a wide array of machine learning algorithms.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and insights clearly to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative Spirit: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive projects independently.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark (PySpark), Hadoop, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps practices for deploying and managing models in production.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control with Git, code reviews, testing).
