Paralegal Support Specialist | Deloitte

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deloitte, located in Newport Beach, CA, Austin, TX, or NYC. As a Paralegal Support Specialist, you will contribute to this mission by providing essential legal operations and paralegal support to clients, sharing new ideas, and collaborating on projects as a consultant without extensive travel demands.

• Mission: Oversee and deliver comprehensive paralegal and legal operations support across deal, fund, and alternatives workflows.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee: Deliver comprehensive paralegal and legal operations support across deal, fund, and alternatives workflows.
• Manage: Handle end-to-end document execution, transaction and regulatory coordination, matter management, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
• Govern: Serve as the primary point of accountability for workflow governance, quality control, tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ensure: Verify all activities are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and job aids under appropriate legal supervision.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Business, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience managing paralegal, legal operations, or transaction support functions across complex deal, fund, or alternatives environments. 4+ years of working knowledge of document execution workflows, approval governance, regulatory coordination, and records management requirements. Experience managing multiple concurrent workflows and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Skills: Workflow management, records management, quality control, project leadership, and stakeholder coordination.
• Bonus: Experience in the Financial Services/Asset Management industry. Familiarity with alternative/private fund structures and “acting as agent/adviser” signature constructs. Notary experience or experience managing wet-ink notarization packages. Consulting firm experience, preferably with Big 4 firms supporting enterprise clients. Experience supporting multiple time-zone-driven execution coverage.
