Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and services for our backend platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in [Specify Language, e.g., Go, Python, Java, Node.js].
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our backend systems through thoughtful architecture and rigorous testing.

• Optimize existing systems for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate.
• Potentially mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language such as Go, Python, Java, C#, or Node.js.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with message queues/brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and distributed systems.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Experience with event-driven architectures.
