Senior Associate, Strategic Finance & M&A | Madison Hunt
The Tone:
This is a full-time Senior Associate role within the Strategic Finance & M&A team, located in New York, NY. The company is a rapidly growing wholesale, open-access fiber infrastructure platform, actively executing one of the largest fiber expansion strategies in the U.S. The business pursues a dual-track growth strategy, combining large-scale greenfield development with an active M&A program, alongside raising several billion dollars to finance its expansion. This position is a highly analytical role spanning strategic finance, M&A, capital markets, and corporate strategy, offering exceptional exposure to principal investing and capital markets activity within a fast-growing digital infrastructure platform. You will partner directly with senior leadership on some of the company’s highest-priority initiatives, gaining exposure well beyond a traditional corporate finance position.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Build and maintain complex financial models across acquisitions, financing, and comprehensive corporate planning.
• Support: Provide critical support for live M&A transactions through all phases, including valuation, diligence, underwriting, and execution.
• Assist: Actively assist with large-scale capital raising initiatives and various financing processes essential for platform growth.
• Evaluate & Analyze: Evaluate investment opportunities, assess acquisition targets, and perform scenario analysis on capital allocation and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare & Collaborate: Prepare detailed board presentations, investment committee materials, and executive reporting, working alongside external advisors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with 2–6 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure or telecom M&A, strategic finance, corporate development, or infrastructure advisory.
• Experience: Proven experience supporting M&A transactions or complex financing processes within a relevant industry.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, alongside excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills.
• Bonus: A keen interest in digital infrastructure, fiber optics, and contributing to long-term platform building.
