Job Description: SEED Internship

This internship program aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience in marketing and agricultural leadership for individuals interested in these fields. The internship is tailored to the intern’s interests and experience level, ensuring a personalized and impactful learning experience. It offers the opportunity to gain practical experience, earn income, and develop skills relevant to the agricultural industry.

The internship focuses on the development and implementation of the SEED ( S tudents E xploring E xcellence in D evelopment) program, a key initiative for Keystone.*• The intern will be responsible for various aspects of the program, including:

External Representation & Brand Building:

Represent Keystone externally: Build a positive brand image and enhance market presence.
Schedule and organize classroom/conference visits: Introduce and recruit for the SEED program.

Community Engagement & Relationship Management:

Build strong communication skills and relationships with FFA advisors and guidance counselors:
Create and update a FFA advisor and guidance counselor database: Manage and maintain contact information for key stakeholders.
Manage SEED mentors: Equip mentors with leadership tools to effectively guide participants.
Develop and integrate a SEED calendar: Ensure program launches and implementations align with key milestones.

Program Management & Execution:

Manage the SOWing Seeds Day: Oversee all aspects of the event, from invitations to agenda execution.
Hire, onboard, and manage timelines for all SEED participants: Ensure smooth participant onboarding and program progression.
Create and implement a long-term plan: Expand the SEED program to continue filling talent positions within the cooperative.
Foster valuable relationships with Indiana FFA Foundation, Ohio FFA, Ohio FFA Works and State Officers. Build and strengthen partnerships with key organizations.
Amplify Co-Alliance FFA State Convention experience: Promote Keystone’s presence and the SEED program at key events.

Additional Responsibilities:

Skills & Qualifications:

Passion for agriculture education and leadership. A genuine interest in the agricultural field is crucial.
Enjoy being creative and detail oriented. Attention to detail and ability to think creatively are essential.
Strong writing and communication skills. Clear and concise written communication is required.
Must be personable and outgoing at public encounters. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships.
Like working on a team. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Must have the ability to lead, motivate a group of people at various locations. Strong leadership and motivational skills are necessary for managing the SEED program.
