About The Role
CertiK is seeking talented Security Research Interns to join their security research team. Interns will work on diverse security research topics, including:
• Malware analysis
• Vulnerability detection
• Network anomaly detection
• Mobile app analysis
• Reverse engineering
• Fraud detection
Multiple research tasks are available for exploration.
Responsibilities
• Develop analysis tools to aid in security discovery.
• Design mitigation techniques to counter security threats.
• Review system implementation of sandbox, VM, network modules, and critical distributed system.
• Perform vulnerability discovery and develop Proof-of-Concept (PoC) exploits for large distributed system implementations.
• Publish research findings in relevant academic and industry forums.
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a cybersecurity-related field.
• Experience in vulnerability discovery and exploitation on web applications or system software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in WASM or Rust/Go development is a plus.
• CTF (Capture The Flag) experiences are a plus.
Compensation
\$3000 – \$8000/month (Full Time). The exact compensation will be based on skills and experience.

• CertiK is accepting applications on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. The approximate date of closing will be April 30, 2024.
