Job Summary

As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer with active security clearance in Waynesboro, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in the Aero/Defense industry. This is a Part-Time position that offers flexibility, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore additional shifts via the Claim a Shift platform (aus.com/earnmore). You will conduct routine patrols and visibility checks to deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide customer-focused assistance to employees and visitors.   • Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Thursday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, work areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, checking authorization, and maintaining visitor and and/or vehicle entry logs as required by site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be 21+ years of age (general requirement for this role, although 18+ for unarmed roles is also mentioned).
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
