Security Officer – Store Patrol | Allied Universal

• Team: Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location
• Mission: Serve and safeguard clients in a busy retail location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Incident Response: Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to leadership.
• Patrol and Deterrence: Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitoring and Enforcement: Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and assist with enforcing location rules related to theft prevention, closing procedures, and restricted areas.
• Professional Presence: Support a professional presence throughout the location by communicating with store personnel and/or the public, providing directions, and reporting security-related concerns.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Officer. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Skills: Communication, problem-solving, incident response, patrolling, observation.
• Bonus: Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred; customer service experience is preferred.
