Job Description: Security Execution and Performance Internship

The Security Execution and Performance team at TikTok oversees, manages, and reports on the Global Security Organization’s execution, capabilities, and utilization. The team continually evaluates and refines strategies to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness, and drive organizational maturity. Their responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the Global Security Office has the necessary tools, resources, and funding to execute initiatives and meet organizational goals.
• Streamlining project management processes, increasing collaboration, and centralizing all in-scope projects to ensure the successful completion of the Global Security Office’s portfolio of security projects.

This 12-week summer internship program, starting in May/June 2025, offers students hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. The program includes social events and enriching development workshops, allowing interns to utilize their knowledge in real-world scenarios and lay a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of security data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
2. Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to report on security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide data-driven insights to support security initiatives.
4. Machine Learning Support: Assist in the creation and implementation of machine learning models to predict and mitigate security threats.
5. Strategy Evaluation and Refinement: Support the evaluation and refinement of security strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Documentation: Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Security, or a related field.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Familiarity with security concepts and frameworks.

Compensation:

The hourly rate range for this position varies by city, and the company offers 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire.
