About the Job

The SEC Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation of supporting workpapers and related disclosures for quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as monthly consolidation of the general ledger.

Essential Functions

• Work cross-functionally to obtain information from business units necessary for the preparation of workpapers supporting both internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Review business unit submissions for accuracy and completeness using SAP and BPC(EPM) reporting tools.
• Organize and combine business unit submissions to properly report consolidated financial statements and other required disclosures.
• Maintain all supporting documentation in an organized manner and properly reference supporting documentation to the SEC filings.
• Assist in the preparation of external financial reports for filing with the SEC and other regulatory bodies in compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare the comparative period financial information for quarterly and annual SEC filings in Wdesk.
• Review XBRL data in Wdesk for assigned areas within SEC filings.
• Interface with external auditors to provide supporting documentation as requested.
• Perform monthly consolidation function.
• Prepare reports, documents, and surveys requested by external organizations.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred; if no current certification, progress towards or registration to complete such designation is expected for the first year
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required; Public Accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with Wdesk, BPC, and EPM a plus
• Proficient in the most recent version of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Word
