About The Role & Program

ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals boasts compelling programming, including critically acclaimed series like “Only Murders in the Building,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and “Grey’s Anatomy”—the longest-running medical drama in primetime television. Their exciting drama slate features “High Potential,” “Paradise,” “The Rookie,” and “Tell Me Lies,” alongside trailblazing comedies “Abbott Elementary,” “Shifting Gears,” “Chad Powers,” and the highly-anticipated return of “Scrubs.” Animated juggernauts like “Futurama” and “King of the Hill” also round out their offerings.

The ABC Entertainment and Hulu Originals Programming team is responsible for overseeing all primetime and streaming scripted drama and comedy series development and current programming. The Drama and Comedy teams collaborate with best-in-class talent and artists to transform ideas and concepts into television series. Their work involves hearing pitches, reading incoming script submissions, and providing feedback on projects in development and series that are currently airing or streaming. The team also works closely with other internal departments such as Legal/Business Affairs, Casting, Marketing, Public Relations, and their Studio partners to bring TV shows to life.

This is a full-time internship, with approximate dates from June 2026 through December 2026. If selected, you will report directly to a Manager on the Scripted Programming team. What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Assistants with grids, project tracking, some calendar scheduling and phones, Microsoft Teams and in-person meeting setups, Airtable database updates, and general daily administrative tasks.
• Supporting the Coordinators in various administrative tasks and department-wide projects and tracking.
Reading scripts, writing coverage, and engaging in/consuming and tracking various forms of media that could be of interest to the development teams, including but not limited to podcasts, television series, movies, novels, comic books, web series, social media personalities, documentaries, articles, etc.
• Distribution of various documents and media internally.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience using Google Suite and MS Office Suite, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Airtable experience is welcome.
Previous internship experience within a related field.
• A strong interest in scripted television and learning the intricacies of its process from development, to production, to launch.
Strong attention to detail; takes pride in and ownership of their work.
Responsible, dependable, and organized with excellent communication/writing skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments by deadline.
• Comfort with and enthusiasm for a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in covering phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership.
Knowledge of current series on ABC, Hulu, and other platforms/networks.
• Interest in tracking up-and-coming writers, directors, and talent (including emerging digital talent).

Education

• A student studying in their senior year of undergrad preferred.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information

• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through December 2026.
Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program. The ABC Hulu office is located in Burbank, California.
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
