Job Description:
This is a 100% remote and fully flexible internship designed to help individuals discover scholarship opportunities while connecting to their life purpose. As a Scholarship Pathway Intern, you will combine scholarship research, mentoring, mental health guidance, and stress-free decision-making support to create transformative pathways for students and working professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Scholarship Research and Identification: Research and compile scholarship databases, focusing on purpose-driven scholarships. Create personalized recommendations and track application deadlines.
• Purpose-Driven Mentoring and Guidance: Conduct brief mentoring conversations to help individuals identify their life purpose and align it with educational opportunities using the “Do You Have That Fire?” assessment.
• Mental Health and Wellness Support: Provide emotional support, facilitate access to Voice Up’s Stress-Free Zone workshop series (in partnership with Lokaa Foundation), and connect individuals with additional mental health resources.
• Stress-Free Decision Making Framework: Teach Voice Up’s core principles (Collaboration, Humility, Precision, Patience, and Empathy) and guide clients through decision-making processes using AI-enhanced tools.
• Career Pathway Development: Connect scholarship opportunities to specific career goals, facilitate networking opportunities, and support career transition planning.

Qualifications:
• Required: Passion for helping others, strong research skills, excellent communication abilities, empathetic nature, commitment to Voice Up’s principles, independent work ethic, interest in personal development.
• Preferred: Experience with scholarships/financial aid, background in counseling/mentoring, familiarity with mental health, knowledge of higher education systems, multilingual abilities, previous volunteer/internship experience.
