Job Description: SAP iXp Intern – Sales Development Executive

This internship position is titled SAP iXp Intern – Sales Development Executive.

Location: Burlington, MA (Mandatory)
Duration: 6 Months, with a potential for a 6-month extension.
Schedule: 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

In this role, the intern will be responsible for a variety of sales development tasks, including:

Prospecting and Meeting Setting: Making cold calls, sending emails, and utilizing social media platforms like LinkedIn to identify potential clients and schedule meetings for aligned account executives within their assigned territories.
Territory Strategy and Demand Generation: Developing and executing territory strategy, coverage, and demand generation planning. This involves ensuring comprehensive market reach and collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization, such as Sales, Demand Management, and Marketing.
Pipeline Generation: Building incremental cloud pipeline by actively identifying and creating opportunities for net-new customers.
Revenue Contribution: Driving incremental revenue through upselling and cross-selling efforts to existing and new customers.
Lead Qualification: Qualifying leads and guiding them through the initial phases of the sales cycle.
Sales Plan Communication: Regularly communicating the sales plan with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
CRM Management: Updating and maintaining reporting tools like CRM systems to ensure accurate pipeline management and data integrity.

What You Bring (Qualifications and Skills):

SAP is seeking an individual who is proactive, resilient, curious, and enjoys working on meaningful, innovative projects, while being energized by lifelong learning.

Education: A Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field is required, with Graduating Seniors/2nd Year Masters highly desirable.
Eligibility: Candidates must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or JD/PhD program.
Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate is described as a high-energy team player with the ability to build strong relationships, results-oriented, possessing a passion to learn and a desire to “run their business.” Only self-starters & constant learners are sought. They should be quota-driven with a strong desire to succeed, motivated, organized, driven, and proven in fast-paced environments, capable of managing multiple sales campaigns under pressure. They must also have excellent communication and organizational skills, be approachable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal & written presentation skills are essential.
Experience (Desired): Proven ability to manage or work as part of a virtual team is an advantage. Cold outreach experience is a desired skill.

As a Sales Development Executive Intern (SDE), you will join a team of professionals on a sales-focused career path. The overall mission of the Sales Development team is to find and build cloud opportunities for net-new customers. The primary responsibility of the SDE Intern is to build and manage a pipeline of cloud and software license opportunities for net-new customers, and to deliver incremental revenue through upselling and cross-selling efforts. Interns will leverage best-in-class digital sales technologies, social tools, and offerings to succeed in winning business and creating lasting customer relationships.

Additional Information:

Start Date: Subject to change based on the recruitment timeline.
Compensation: The targeted annualized combined range for this position, inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target, is 15-62 (USD) USD. The actual offer will depend on factors like education, skills, experience, scope of the role, and location.
Travel: Expected travel for this role is 0 – 10%.
