The Matthews Sales Training Program: Overview

This program is designed for aspiring professionals eager to immerse themselves in the commercial real estate sales process. Participants will gain invaluable insights by leveraging Matthews’ advanced innovations and technology platforms. To truly maximize this experience, candidates must possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, and collaborative environment. You will learn within a dynamic setting, working closely alongside a dedicated Market Leader and Senior Sales Associate.

Key Learning Opportunities & Experience

As a trainee in this program, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Master strategic marketing techniques to drive customer acquisition and maximize profitable revenue from existing clients.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to a comprehensive range of sales and marketing methodologies, including direct and channel selling, telemarketing, advanced lead generation, participation in trade organizations, and cold calling strategies to secure and maintain business relationships.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of revenue generation and sales quota achievement within a competitive market.
  • Cultivate expertise in target account identification, qualification, development, and strategic execution, including the successful introduction of new products and services.
  • Learn to identify and forge strong relationships within critical market segments.
  • Internalize Matthews’ unique value proposition and core selling points.
  • Develop the acumen to identify promotional opportunities, deliver compelling product/service demonstrations, and articulate features and benefits effectively.
  • Master strategies for database management and consistent client/prospect engagement.
  • Engage in additional development opportunities as designated by Management.

Program Requirements

We are seeking motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred, but not mandatory, to optimize the training experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for learning new technology platforms.
  • Consistently demonstrate a professional demeanor.
  • A genuine desire to learn and grow within the dynamic commercial real estate industry.
  • Ability to thrive and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented in a fast-paced, highly competitive business environment.
  • Capability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals across all organizational levels.
  • A strong willingness to collaborate and contribute to team success.
  • Proven capacity for independent learning and growth, alongside effective teamwork.
