Job Description:
This is a Sales Training Program designed for individuals looking to learn the commercial real estate sales process. It is an unpaid training opportunity solely for education and learning purposes; participation does not create an employment or agent relationship with Matthews.
Program Objective:
The main objective is for participants to learn the commercial real estate sales process by leveraging Matthews’ innovations and technology platforms. Trainees will learn within a collaborative environment, working alongside a Market Leader and Senior Sales Associate.
Key Learning Areas / Trainee Experience:
Participants in the training program will have the opportunity to:
• Learn how to effectively utilize marketing strategies to increase customer acquisition and profitable revenue from existing customers.
• Observe and actively learn various sales and marketing activities, including direct selling, channel selling, telemarketing, lead generation, participation in trade organizations, and cold calling.
• Acquire a basic understanding of revenue responsibilities, including the goal of reaching sales quotas.
• Develop skills to identify, qualify, develop, and execute strategies for target accounts and the introduction of new products/services.
• Acquire skills to identify and establish relationships within critical market segments.
• Learn and internalize MREIS’s value proposition and selling points.
• Gain the ability to identify promotional opportunities to provide demonstrations and outline the features and benefits of the company’s products/services.
• Learn to maintain regular contact with a large database of clients and prospects.
• Engage in other opportunities as designated by Management.
Requirements / Qualifications:
To be eligible for this training program, candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in sales is preferred, though not required, to maximize the training experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Possess a strong desire to learn about the commercial real estate industry.
• Capable of thriving in a team environment.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be detail oriented.
• Exhibit the ability to remain flexible and team oriented in a fast-paced, highly competitive business environment.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at multiple levels within an organization.
• Willingness to collaborate.
• Ability to learn and grow independently and as part of a team.
