Essential Job Functions
As a Fred Meyer Jewelers Sales Professional, you will:
- Customer Service & Sales Excellence:
- Model “Customer 1st” behavior and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Achieve personal sales targets, including key performance indicators like credit applications and protection plan attachment rates.
- Actively promote Diamond Parties and special events to every customer.
- Foster life-long emotional connections with customers through effective clienteling.
- Provide in-depth product knowledge, features, and benefits for all merchandise presented.
- Advise customers on the quality, cuts, and value of jewelry and gems, assisting in the selection of mountings and settings.
- Operational & Team Support:
- Collaborate with teammates towards achieving store goals, creating a positive working atmosphere, and supporting each other to enhance team performance.
- Attend all required monthly meetings.
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system, process payments, and obtain credit authorizations.
- Inspect and clean customers’ jewelry with precision and care.
- Provide accurate estimates for jewelry and watch repairs.
- Perform watch battery replacements and watch band adjustments.
- Follow all receiving and processing procedures meticulously.
- Display merchandise and promotional materials in strict accordance with corporate merchandising plans.
- Perform business opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedures Guide.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming carpets, cleaning display surfaces, cleaning merchandise, and washing windows.
- Maintain the safety and security of the location by adhering to all Loss Prevention and Security policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in the inventory process and complete case counts.
- Work Environment & Flexibility:
- Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as business needs dictate.
