About the Team

The Pricing & Planning team is responsible for the holistic management of the advertising business. This includes price modeling, rate card strategy, and annual partnerships execution. The team works cross-functionally with Roku Media stakeholders to ensure the pricing and packaging of Roku’s products are optimized for profitability while successfully meeting client objectives. We are a nimble, solutions-oriented team relentlessly focused on achieving customers’ KPIs when evaluating all opportunities presented to Roku.

About the Role

The Sales Planning (Ad Sales) Intern will play a crucial role in supporting sales goals by creating strategic advertising proposals and will become a subject matter expert on Media Planning. This role is located in the New York office and reports directly to the Sr. Planning Manager based in New York, NY.

For New York Only: The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $20 and $50 per hour. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, and wellness benefits.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the dedicated owner of an assigned account, including building media plans for Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Manage the full pre-sale process for assigned accounts, including research and creative brainstorm sessions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Planning teams to create compelling sales pitches for assigned prospective Roku clients.
  • Meet with cross-functional teams to gain a 360-degree understanding of the Ad Sales landscape.
  • Partner with Sales teams to implement packaging and pricing strategies, as defined by Revenue Operations rate cards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Ad Ops, Inventory Analytics, and Marketing, to fulfill client requests and support Sales in their proposals.

We’re Excited If You Have

  • Media or communications coursework is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity in media math and terminology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the CTV landscape is beneficial.
  • An enthusiasm for working in a collaborative Ad Sales team environment.
  • A positive attitude when handling day-to-day tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
