Job Description: Sales Merchandising Intern
Internship Program: This 10-week summer internship program will immerse you in the world of Tiffany & Co., starting with a 2-day orientation in New York City, the birthplace of the brand. You’ll gain experience through on-the-job learning, exploring the intricacies of the business, and networking with Tiffany leaders and fellow interns.
Dates: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025. Interns must be available for the entire 10-week program.
Location: Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
Salary: $25 per hour.
Position Overview: As a Sales Merchandising Intern, you will be immersed in the world of luxury retail, working alongside a dynamic team responsible for translating Tiffany & Co.’s product vision into a captivating in-store experience. You will gain firsthand experience in how Tiffany & Co. bridges the gap between product category management and sales execution.
Key Accountabilities:
• Support Business Objectives:
• Trend Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and potential challenges. Assist in preparing reports that inform key business decisions.
• Sales Review & Budget Support: Prepare materials for sales performance reviews and budget planning, including compiling data, creating presentations, and summarizing key takeaways.
• Market Initiative Tracking: Track the progress of new initiatives across different markets and stores, gather feedback, and communicate updates to the team.
• Space Planning & Assortment:
• New Store Concept Support: Assist in developing space planning guidelines for new store concepts, ensuring an optimal layout for showcasing products.
• Assortment Strategy: Support the team in maintaining product selection strategies for different store types and display themes, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all locations.
• Product Lifecycle Analysis: Analyze data on product performance to understand the lifecycle of different collections and inform decisions about product placement, promotions, and inventory management.
• New Product Support and Product Opportunities:
• Launch Strategy: Assist in gathering feedback from different teams, contribute to launch strategies, and ensure a smooth rollout of new products.
• Communication & Tools: Help create materials and resources to equip sales teams with the knowledge and tools to successfully introduce new products to customers.
• Launch Tracking & Optimization: Monitor the performance of new product launches, gather feedback from different regions, and contribute to any necessary adjustments in strategy.
• Team Support:
• Administrative & Analytical: Provide essential support to the team by handling administrative tasks, organizing data, and contributing to reports and presentations.
• Presentation & Report Preparation: Assist in creating visually compelling presentations and reports that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
• Passion for Retail: Genuine interest in the world of retail, merchandising, and luxury goods.
• Strong Academic Foundation: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Organization & Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Analytical Mindset: A knack for analyzing data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful insights.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior Luxury Retail Experience: Previous internship or work experience in a luxury retail environment.
