Sales & Marketing (Growth) Intern | Starbeam
The Tone:
This is an internship / early career role at Starbeam, located remotely but requiring in-person meetings with your campus team to engage with student leaders. Starbeam is an AI-powered wellness startup, currently in stealth mode, focused on addressing the disruptive social upheavals that AI will soon unleash, such as mass job displacement, negative health impacts, and an increase in mental illnesses. The company plans to become a dominant AI company by its full launch in Fall 2026. This role is critical for the initial launch and widespread adoption of Starbeam’s free agentic AI consumer app on US college campuses, with future involvement in enterprise AI services. You will directly contribute to establishing brand presence and driving initial user sign-ups, gaining valuable, quantifiable achievements in a rapidly evolving and impactful industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Presentation Development: Create and customize engaging sales presentations and compelling scripts using various AI tools to effectively communicate Starbeam’s value proposition.
• Market Identification & CRM Management: Conduct thorough web research and social media analysis to identify key influencers and student leaders, subsequently populating and meticulously managing CRM databases and prospect profiles to organize outreach efforts.
• Relationship Building & Outreach: Execute strategic warm and cold outreach campaigns to initiate and cultivate strong relationships with student organizations, club leaders, and prominent social media influencers, driving app adoption and brand advocacy.
• Content Creation & Brand Representation: Actively represent Starbeam by developing a diverse range of content, including short-form video, engaging social media posts, and written features for school newspapers or campus media, along with writing online articles to enhance search engine visibility for AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
• Skill Development & Certification: Proactively take advantage of free online courses to become officially certified in relevant AI tools and gain proficiency in HubSpot sales and marketing platforms, enhancing your professional toolkit.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student level. Candidates must be current college students majoring in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Communications, or related academic fields. High school students demonstrating extraordinary interest in the role and company mission may also be considered.
• Experience: Ability to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that can vary week-to-week, for a minimum commitment of two months.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating original thought and not relying on AI for content generation; strong interpersonal skills coupled with a natural inclination to build new friendships and expand a professional network; a genuine interest in sales and marketing as a potential career path.
