What You’ll Actually Do
• Industry Immersion: Immerse yourself fully in the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight industry, gaining comprehensive knowledge of the transportation sector, company operations, and culture.
• Operational Engagement: Actively participate in and gain hands-on experience across all areas of Dayton Freight’s operations, understanding day-to-day processes and contributing as part of a team.
• Leadership Development: Cultivate essential future-based leadership skills, expanding upon your experience to prepare for a confident and competent sales position upon program completion.
• Sales Expertise: Build a robust foundation in sales principles, strategies, and market knowledge specific to the LTL transportation sector, developing key competencies for client engagement.
• Professional Growth: Contribute actively throughout the 24-week program, traveling as needed, to expand your professional capabilities and prepare for internal advancement within the organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level opportunity specifically geared toward recently graduated or soon-to-be graduating seniors. Candidates must possess a valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is explicitly required, as this 24-week program is designed to provide hands-on job experience and knowledge. Candidates must be willing to relocate to any Service Center within the company’s network.
• Skills: Demonstrated willingness to work a rotation of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts during the training period. A strong aptitude for learning and developing leadership abilities and sales knowledge relevant to the LTL industry.
