Job Description
This posting is for a Talent Pool for future opportunities in SPS Commerce’s Minneapolis, Minnesota office. While there isn’t an immediate opening, applications are welcomed and will be reviewed as roles become available.
Role Type: Sales Internship
Sales Internship Program Overview:
This is a 12-week paid internship that offers more than just a summer job. Interns will collaborate with seasoned professionals, solving real-world customer problems, and contributing to the success of the business. Interns are considered a valued part of Team SPS from day one. The program includes joining a cohort of other interns and participating in programming designed for professional development. Interns will explore their work styles, learn to leverage their experience, and strengthen their interpersonal and sales skills. The program aims to build strong connections with peers and the SPS team, with the goal of developing interns to lead in their industry. By the end of the summer, interns should feel more equipped to lead.
Location:
This is a hybrid role based in the Minneapolis office.
What You’ll Learn:

• Navigating Sales Tools (such as Salesforce, Gong, etc.)
• Researching to qualify a Prospect
• Time management to increase sales efficiency

Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for:
• Investigating prospective client’s current environment through inquisitive and exploratory questions.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Account teams to maximize upsell to Suppliers.
• Working through objections prospective clients may have.
• Utilizing Salesforce to accurately track progress and share updates.
• Ensuring timely communication with key stakeholders regarding milestones and risks.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Current Juniors and Seniors pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to work well in a collaborative setting and be a team player.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently.
Compensation:
The hourly pay rate for this role is $20.00.
