About the Job: Southwestern Advantage Sales Internship
Founded in 1868, Southwestern Advantage is the oldest entrepreneurial program for college students. Utilizing a direct sales model, students sell educational resources to families through in-home consultations. This internship has helped over 150,000 students from 1,600+ campuses worldwide achieve their goals.
The Southwestern Advantage Sales Internship is an intensive 12–14 week summer program designed to provide comprehensive, hands-on experience in critical business areas. Participants will gain practical skills and insights in sales, marketing, public relations, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product demonstrations utilizing a consultative sales approach to meet family needs.
- Communicate effectively and build rapport with families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Build lasting connections within assigned sales territories through direct in-home visits and strong customer rapport.
- Proactively sell and market educational resources to families in designated territories.
- Manage all aspects of the business operations, including ordering products, inventory tracking, sales recording, basic accounting tasks, scheduling appointments, and product delivery.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented individual.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to embrace new challenges and demonstrate a quick learning ability.
- Availability to work full-time during the summer period (12-14 weeks).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Enthusiasm for sales, marketing, and personal development.
