Sales Engineer Intern | Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases

The Tone:
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, and process systems for the LNG and industrial gases industry. This Sales Engineer Intern will work under the Applications Engineering Manager, collaborating with sales, engineering, and customers. The role supports the core mission of providing unmatched reliability, quality, and safety in submerged motor liquefied gas pumps and related solutions.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship

• Team: Reports to Applications Engineering Manager
• Mission: Support the Applications Engineering team by assisting with technical selection, quotation preparation, and the development and implementation of various tools.
• Tech Stack: SOLIDWORKS, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), ERP systems, Salesforce

What You’ll Actually Do
• Propose: Support the development of complex technical proposals.
• Analyze: Meticulously analyze customer specifications to ensure all requirements are met.
• Communicate: Serve as the key technical liaison between sales, engineering, and the customer.
• Collaborate: Work with other internal departments and external suppliers to address quotation-specific requirements.
• Enhance: Support the development and enhancement of pump hydraulic selection software.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively enrolled Junior or Senior in an Engineering or Computer Science program, or a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience: Relevant coursework or experience in rotating equipment/centrifugal pumps, low voltage control systems, or high voltage electrical systems.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, highly detailed and well-organized, skilled in time management, proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Bonus: Strong preference for proficiency in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), proficiency with 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS preferred), experience with ERP systems, experience with Salesforce.
