Sales Development Program Consultant – Michigan/NE Ohio | Allegion

The Tone:
This is a full-time rotational training and development program at Allegion, located remotely in Michigan/NE Ohio, with required in-person training in Denver, CO. Allegion is a global company with over 14,000 employees specializing in security solutions, particularly around doorways and beyond, with over 40 brands sold in 130 countries. This program is designed to transform individuals with no prior selling or security hardware knowledge into successful sales professionals, ensuring they can add value across various sales channels and contribute to creating peace of mind through pioneering safety and security.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage in comprehensive training modules covering Allegion products, industry knowledge, and consultative selling.
• Complete rotational assignments, including a 3-month product training in Denver and a 2-month corporate sponsorship with project presentations.
• Execute a 7-month field training rotation, conducting joint sales calls, participating in tradeshows, and building customer relationships.
• Utilize Allegion’s CRM, analytics, and other tools to gather and maintain project information and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Develop an understanding of Allegion’s organizational structure and foster relationships with co-workers throughout the matrixed organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or Marketing preferred.
• Experience: No prior selling or security hardware knowledge is required; the ability to fully engage in a 12-month training program.
• Skills: Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude, detail-oriented with high organization and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing skills, and a bias for action.
• Bonus: Ability to travel up to 20%.
