About the Job: Sales Associate Intern

Founded in 2011, DCPS is a prominent commercial property services contractor, serving over 1,100 clients across Colorado and Arizona. With a robust team of over 300 employees and multiple specialized service divisions including Roofing, Asphalt and Concrete, Waterproofing, Landscaping, Snow Removal, and Construction, DCPS is dedicated to delivering integrated property solutions to commercial owners and managers.

Our dynamic Sales Division is a significant revenue driver, generating more than $80 million annually and spearheading strategic growth across all our service lines. We are actively seeking a high-performing Sales Associate Intern to provide essential support to our Sales Department. This role offers invaluable exposure to revenue operations, analytics, and strategic growth initiatives within a leading commercial services organization.

This is a traditional internship designed with a clear pathway for professional development, offering the opportunity to transition into a permanent role within the Sales Department. Position Overview

The Sales Associate Intern will operate under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, working closely with senior sales leaders. Key responsibilities include assisting with crucial tasks such as reporting, CRM management, event coordination, and various strategic sales initiatives. This role is ideally suited for a detail-oriented and self-driven individual eager to gain direct, hands-on exposure to high-volume commercial B2B sales operations.

Interns may work up to 40 hours per week. Exceptional performers will be considered for full-time opportunities within the Sales Department or the broader DCPS organization, reflecting our commitment to nurturing talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in proposal coordination and document preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support for client and association events, including tradeshows, golf outings, and other industry functions.
  • Support the coordination and organization of sales team initiatives such as sales blitzes, client outreach campaigns, and marketing-related events.
  • Help organize and maintain materials, supplies, and internal resources essential for sales-related activities.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings and strategic planning sessions, contributing insights and learning from experienced leaders.
  • Assist Sales Leadership with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, providing critical data for performance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing professional presentations and dashboards to visualize sales data and trends.
  • Support the tracking of team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance benchmarks.
  • Assist with account development planning efforts, contributing to strategic client growth.

  • Develop expertise in sales reporting structures at weekly, monthly, and quarterly levels.
  • Grasp the fundamental principles of commercial B2B relationship management.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in B2B sales or revenue operations.
  • Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with an ability to manage and analyze data effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Previous internship or leadership experience.
  • A genuine interest in a long-term career in commercial sales.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily an office-based environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout office and job site environments as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb stairs periodically.
  • Regular travel to sales events or client locations may be required.

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour

Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and skill level. This position is nonexempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with Colorado wage laws.
