The Tone:
This is a flexible full-time and part-time role at GPM Investments, LLC, based in one of our convenience store locations. GPM Investments operates a network of stores that serve local communities and relies on its Sales Associates to be the heart of its operations. This role is crucial as you will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring the store is clean, safe, and provides an inviting shopping experience. You’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves and take pride in doing the tough stuff to keep the store running smoothly.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Greet every customer with a smile and operate the register with accuracy and speed, while offering friendly service and upselling to increase sales.
• Sales Compliance: Become proficient in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales, ensuring strict compliance with all age verification and legal requirements.
• Store Cleanliness: Maintain the inside and outside of the store by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking out trash in all weather conditions.
• Merchandising & Organization: Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full, and maintain a clean and organized store environment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows.
• Team Support: Willingly cross-train in other departments, including the deli, as needed, and be a proactive team player ready to help wherever required.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years of age or older if located in CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO; for all other states, must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience: None required; previous experience in retail or customer service is appreciated, but not mandatory.
• Skills:
• Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Physical capability to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for most of your shift.
• Willingness to work hard, stay on your feet, and comfortably work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A personable and positive demeanor, detail-oriented approach, and reliable and responsible work ethic, coupled with flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
