Job Description: Safety Strategy and Risk Management Intern

This internship offers hands-on experience in safety strategy and risk management within Primo Brands. The intern will support the Safety Strategy and Risk Management team in enhancing safety protocols, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities:

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits: Identify potential hazards within the company’s operations.
Analyze safety data: Analyze incident reports and other safety data to pinpoint trends and suggest preventive measures.
Develop business continuity materials: Contribute to the creation and implementation of materials designed to ensure business operations continue during disruptions.
Review and update safety policies: Assist in reviewing and updating Incident Response policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
Collaborate on risk initiatives: Work with team members on various risk-related projects and initiatives.
Research industry trends: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in safety and risk management.

Duration and Schedule:

Dates: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (10 weeks). Mandatory attendance for the first and last weeks, and at least 7 of the 8 intervening weeks.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 30-40 hours per week.
Location: Tampa, FL (no relocation stipend).

Compensation: $24.00/hour

Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in risk management, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field. A GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of safety protocols, risk management principles, hazard identification. Familiarity with regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO 45001) is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks and recommend mitigation strategies; strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate effectively.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, eager to learn, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
