As a Safety Intern, you won’t just observe; you’ll be an integral part of the team. You’ll gain invaluable, hands-on experience working directly alongside experienced safety professionals and project leaders on challenging real heavy civil construction projects across the East Coast. What You’ll Do: Hands-On Experience and Real-World Impact

• Collaborate with safety specialists to actively promote and foster a proactive culture of safety and accountability on-site, contributing to daily safety briefings and initiatives.
• Assist in training employees on essential safety techniques, best practices, and crucial protocols, ensuring compliance and enhancing overall site safety awareness.
• Gain comprehensive hands-on experience in both critical field settings, directly observing and addressing safety concerns, and in project office environments, contributing to safety documentation and planning.
• Contribute to real-world solutions by identifying potential hazards, recommending preventative measures, and implementing strategies that effectively protect workers and continuously improve operational efficiency and safety standards.

Who We’re Looking For: Your Profile for Success

• Academically Strong: Students who have successfully completed their sophomore or junior year in a relevant academic program such as Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or an Engineering discipline.
• Exceptional Communicators & Proactive Learners: Individuals with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a genuine passion for continuous learning, innovation, and forward-thinking approaches to safety challenges.
• Valued Experience: Prior construction or safety internship experience is highly preferred, showcasing an existing interest and foundational understanding of the industry.
• Certifications are a Plus: Possession of certifications such as OSHA 10-Hour, First Aid, and CPR will be considered a significant advantage, demonstrating preparedness and commitment.
• Bilingual Advantage: Spanish bilingual skills are a strong bonus, enabling more effective communication and outreach with our diverse workforce.
