Job Description: Rotational Finance Internship

This year-round rotational internship is designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree at an accredited U.S. college or university. Interns will gain hands-on experience in various finance and accounting departments, developing skills in relationship management, communication, and project analysis while gaining technical accounting and finance expertise.

Responsibilities:

Rotational Assignments: The internship involves semester-long rotations through different finance and accounting departments, including General Accounting, Project Controlling, Operations Finance, Sales Controlling, and FP&A.
Project Support: Interns will support project forecasting, project variance analysis, and monthly financial reporting. They will also participate in cost center review & analysis, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
Forecasting & Budgeting: Responsibilities include order intake (sales) forecasting and budgeting.
Month-End Close: Support will be provided for month-end close activities.
Basic Accounting: Interns will assist with basic accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
Special Projects: Support will be given for special projects and other assignments as needed.
Professional Development: Participation in weekly sessions with Dematic leaders, a team-based innovation challenge, and other development opportunities is required.

Requirements:

• Full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting
• Sophomore, junior, or entering senior year
• Year-round commitment (part-time during the school year, full-time during the summer)
• Onsite work in Grand Rapids, MI
3.0 GPA or higher
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
